Organic Sketching Assignment

After watching the demo listed below, please fill an 11x17 page of 5 to 6: organic trees, plants and environment parts using the tone paper with white highlight  technique that was displayed in the last course.
( I don't expect you to draw a whole entire environment, just a key prop or area.)
The for extra credit: Draw a tree house in a large organic tree on another page. Please consider lost and found edges and areas of detail as mentioned before in class. ( Don't over detail the entire page.)

For extra credit:
You can look at any of the provided reference and draw elements that masters Paul Felix or Michael Spooner have drawn inside their professional work.
 Have fun...

Spring Break...have a good one.

-Rough SHIP block-in should be finished-
When you come back from Spring break, please have your ship shape roughed out in perspective, with a separate OL (overlay) on another layer of line detail.

-Line DETAIL on another layer-
The line detail OL is a detail layer consisting of establishing detail with counter line. That is thick and thin contour line. Avoid one solid thick line for exterior and interior detail. This will flatten your drawing.

I will be coming around and grabbing some samples from students to critique over on the large screens.

NO TONE at this time!! that is the next stage. Please see the blog, and please make sure your ship is drawing from the grid technique that I displayed in class.

See you on Tuesday..
Have a great spring break!!! Be safe!!
